Dr Partha Nandi

I come from a modest background and completed my PhD in Theoretical High-Energy Physics at the SN Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences (SNBNCBS), India, in 2021. My doctoral research focused on quantum gravity phenomenology, where I investigated foundational aspects of spacetime and quantum field theory beyond the Standard Model.

Following my PhD, I was awarded a competitive one-year Visiting Researcher position in the Department of Astrophysics and High Energy Physics at SNBNCBS. During this period, I expanded my research into gravitational wave astronomy, exploring the interface between fundamental theory and observational astrophysics.

In parallel with my research activities, I served as a Guest Faculty member in postgraduate programs at colleges affiliated with the University of Calcutta and the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Research Institute, contributing to advanced courses in theoretical physics and mentoring graduate students.

I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Institute for Theoretical and Computational Sciences (NITheCS), South Africa, where my research continues to focus on fundamental aspects of gravity, quantum theory, and their phenomenological implications.
