Chanelle Matadah Manfouo

Chanelle is a PhD student in physics at Stellenbosch University (South Africa) and Quantum Leap Africa – African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS), (Rwanda). She holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science from the University of Ngaoundere (Cameroon), a master’s degree in mathematics (quantum cryptography) from Quantum Leap Africa (Rwanda) and QuSoft – Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (The Netherlands), and a structured master’s degree in mathematical sciences from AIMS Cameroon.

Her research interests include quantum cryptography, quantum machine learning, quantum algorithms and complexity, and data science. Her PhD projects involve optimizing quantum algorithms for classification problems in radio astronomy and healthcare, as well as exploring topological quantum computing.

Chanelle enjoys engaging in hobbies that bring her joy and relaxation. She has a passion for listening to music and travelling to new places. She is also a cryptocurrency enthusiast.
